Video as Performance
Performances in Flux is thrilled to announce a selection of 28 video artists for inclusion in "Video as Performance,” the second group exhibition hosted by "Performance in Flux."
The exhibition will take place at the Colour Senses Project in Miami, FL, from April 13th to April 21st, 2024, with a special opening night screening on Saturday, April 13th, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
"Video as Performance” explores the convergence of video art and performance, highlighting the body as the primary medium of expression. Against a backdrop of ongoing transformation and technological progress, this exhibition explores the fluidity of identity and narrative in a multimedia context.
"We are excited to feature artists from Florida, New York, Texas, California, Canada, Virginia, New Mexico, Italy as part of our exploration of contemporary performance art," said Tere Garcia, Founder of Performance in Flux. "This exhibition promises to provoke thought and conversation about the expressive potential of video within the realm of performance."
The exhibition will run from April 13th to April 21st, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience innovative artworks that push boundaries and challenge conventions. The opening night will feature a special screening alongside the group show "Performances as a Medium,” which includes live performances and a gallery exhibition.
